Summer 2015 Contest!

UPDATE: YOU HAVE EXACTLY THREE WEEKS TO COMPLETE YOUR SUBMISSIONS AND TO SEND THEM TO THE FOLDER.

UPDATE: Each of the point prizes have been increased by 200 points due to donations received. If we receive yet more, we could increase them further. For now the 1st place point prize is 500, the 2nd place is 400, and the 3rd place is 300. And then, of course, there are tons of commission prizes to be won!

UPDATE: Everyone, please read ALL of this journal before submitting to our contest. I'm having issues with some people not understanding that this theme is not a free and open theme or just one based off of colours. Your deviation must have a clear connection to the LGBTQ community (like contain the bisexual flag, two guys kissing, photograph of a pride parade, etc. etc. sort of clear) or it must contain a rainbow theme. And not just ONE COLOUR of the rainbow. When we say rainbow, we mean all of the colours. Thank you. - Sage

Hello everyone! It's Sage, your lovely and fabulous Head Administrator here, and I'd like to invite you all to participate in AA4E's Summer 2015 Contest! It's going to be a truly exciting one too! Let me tell you about it.

The theme for the Summer 2015 Contest is, as you can guess by the journal skin I'm using... "Rainbow." With LGBTQ rights being on the headlines in countries around the globe and a hot topic these days, and with so many artists on DeviantART belonging to this community in whatever way, we've chosen as an administration this theme. We hope you agree that it will make an excellent contest theme! And we want to see that proven, of course, by you joining in on the love and fun with submissions of your own!

The Finer Details: (da rules Q-Q )

* Submissions must be turned in by 11:59 PM (23:59) Monday, July the 20th. This should give artists 45 days to complete their entries. This is plenty of time to host a contest.

*Submissions may be of any medium, even literature and photography. All of our AA4E contests revolve around highly open themes so that everyone can participate!

*Artists may submit more than one submission. Just be sure to submit to the correct folder or your deviation(s) WILL NOT BE JUDGED. The correct folder may be found by clicking the link in green in the top right hand corner of this journal. Please privately note any one of my helpful and cheery Co-founders or Head Co-founders if you need help figuring out how to submit your deviation(s) to the gallery.

*Submissions must be Rainbow or LGBTQ themed. If the theme is not rainbow and is still intended to be LGBTQ in theme and our administration cannot tell that it is for whatever reason, then that is on the artist, not us. That being said, we encourage you to not try and stretch the theme too far and that you keep it simple and instantly noticeable (for at least the generally educated populace). We retain the right to select our winners without explanation. We also retain the right to disqualify and ban/block (from AA4E) any member that submits something that is crude or discriminatory. We retain the right to decide what is considered "Crude or discriminatory."

*Any sign of "crude or discriminatory" speech in this journal, to myself or another administrator, or on contest entries will be met with the perpetrator being permanently banned/blocked from AA4E without question. If someone should do such a thing on your deviation, please note me personally and immediately! I am a member of the LGBTQ community myself and I will most likely be one of the two heads of my college campus' LGBTQ student organization this coming school year. Believe me when I say that I will deal with the situation accordingly.

*The last rule is, naturally, that you have fun! Yay! Now onto what I know you want to hear about!
